We provide a folder of information about the cottage and some local activities but here are some things you might like to know in advance:

Where are nearest shops?

Kingussie (9 miles/17 minutes drive via Kincraig and the B9152) has a Co-op and various other small shops

Aviemore (9 miles/23 minutes drive via the B970) has a Tesco, Aldi, Home Bargains, a Co-op and a a multitude of outdoor and gift shops.

Are there restaurants nearby?

The Boathouse Restaurant at Loch Insh is 2 miles away

The Old Post Office cafe at Kincraig is 2.7 miles away

Aviemore has a good variety of restaurants and takeaways

What is the driveway like?

Tigh an Tearlach has a private unsurfaced driveway which is in good condition and suitable for any vehicle.

How secluded is the property?

The cottage sits well off the public road and is well screened from neighbouring properties.

Are there ponies in the field?

The ponies usually graze the field from October to May, the field is set to pasture in summer.

Do you provide wood for the stove?

We provide a starter pack which should suffice for an average winter week.

You can top this up from shops in Kingussie and Aviemore.
